Private water companies like Tennessee American Water have met the water needs of American communities for hundreds of years and currently provide service to 73 million Americans. Without a doubt, these companies must be and are accountable to their customers and the communities they serve. Private water companies deliver water to your faucet and efficiently take wastewater away. Just like a municipal system, water companies are responsible for making sure the water is clean and safe and that the infrastructure – the pipes, pumps and treatment facilities – is up and running. |
